- Deep garnet-brick colored, the 2002 The Octavius (Shiraz Old Vine) is wonderfully spicy and peppery with fragrant Indian spice and sandalwood complementing a core of prunes and baked blackberries. Medium to full-bodied, voluptuous and velvety, the palate is opulent and exotic, finishing with great depth and persistence.
