The 2011 Mayote, a Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petite Verdot blend, offers incredible purity and focus to go with ripe blackberry fruit, pepper, licorice and chalky minerality. As with all of these releases, it doesn’t skimp on fruit or texture, yet it stays balanced, has solid mid-palate depth and fine tannin on the finish. It too will have a decade or more of longevity.

Pepper, cigar box and a cherry fruit core mesh with some green pepper elements on the nose of this elegant blend of 44% Syrah, 44% Cabernet Sauvignon and 12% Petite Verdot. The peppery flavors give way to a leather sense on the palate, with ample spice and lush tannins.
