Named after two orphan brothers who were raised in Paso Robles, Claud and Dick Booker, Booker Vineyards aims to replicate the prominence that these brothers made on the region with their own wines. The Booker brothers helped to develop the region, working as farmers and assisting with manual labor, as well as being massive philanthropists for the region. One-hundred acres of the Booker brothers land was purchased by Lisa and Eric Jensen in 2001 in hopes to grow truly amazing fruit. They did in fact grow amazing fruit, and by 2005 they released their own label. The wines are mostly Rhone varieties, and are bold, ripe, and cleverly named, following the trend of most of Paso Robles.

- Tasted out of bottle, the 2014 Fracture is another incredible wine that flirts with perfection. Its saturated ruby color is followed by an awesome bouquet of creme de cassis, graphite, spring flowers, licorice and hints of minerality. A big, full-bodied, concentrated effort, it has building tannin, no hard edges, thrilling depth and a finish that keeps you coming back to the glass. And despite the overall richness level, it stays light, graceful and lively on the palate. Give bottles 2-3 years and enjoy through 2026.
