- Tense, black and smoky, this is almost tarry when first poured. That reductive blackness fades into a sleek wine over the course of two days, with bright cherry fruit and dark, juicy, cherry-skin tannins. Oak brings a rich, dark-roast coffee warmth, supporting the fruit tannins without masking them. Cellar this to serve with filet mignon.

- A splash of Malbec is included in this otherwise varietal wine, a grippy, structured and full-bodied mountain expression of big tannins and potent black fruit. Leather and tobacco make their way into the experience, finishing soft and on the way to being resolved.
