- The single-vineyard 2003 Brunello di Montalcino Vigna delle Raunate possesses noticeably more definition, clarity and freshness than the regular bottling. Candied, open aromatics lead to a sumptuous expression of sweet dark fruit, flowers, spices and menthol. This authoritative Brunello has a wild, unrestrained personality which I found completely engaging. It is without question an overachiever in this vintage. Anticipated maturity: 2009-2018.
