- To celebrate his 50th vintage with the firm, this family-owned negociant chose to create a new cuvee to honor Jean `Johnny` Hugel. The `Hommage a Jean Hugel` cuvee is from grapes harvested at the Vendange Tardive (Jean Hugel is the author of the legislation governing VTs) level yet does not indicate it as such on the label.
