- This wine was tasted blind at the Burgundy 2012 tasting in Beaune. The 2012 Chablis Grand Cru Vaudésir has a more exotic nose than its peers with hints of marmalade and quince infusing the citrus fruit. The palate is clean and fresh on the entry but fails to build on its initial promise, and seems smudged towards the caramelized finish. This is a perplexing showing - I would have expected better.
