A wine with dried berry and orange peel character. Full body, chewy tannins and a fresh finish. This is very tannic for the vintage but intense and muscular. Old style in many ways but wonderful in every sense of the word. Try it in 2017.

WE94

Violet, perfumed berry, forest floor, grilled herb and anisette aromas jump out of the glass of this vibrant wine. The focused palate offers crushed wild cherry and black raspberry along with accents of white pepper, cinnamon, licorice and mint. It's balanced with brisk acidity and firm but refined tannins. Drink 2020–2030.
